This data is immediately available to the doctor who can review the information before the patient is broght to the examination room. This particular application is ideal for recording patient outcomes data where trends of improvement and healing can be quantified. Patient demographic data can also be collected although a standard keyboard and mouse would be used instead of the touch screen. For billing and insurance claims submission, the 837 state direct module and 835 Autopost packages provide fast "click" easy submission of claims data and automatic posting of payment data. Using these systems, billers can spend their time on what they should be doing: handling special situations and follow up with insurance companies. When submitting directly to insurance companies, clearing house costs are eliminted as you clear your own charges. Charges are sent via 837 ANSI Standard format created from the Altapoint database. Data is not sent from "print images". We are a Blue Cross, Blue Shield approved vendor for this software.

Posting payment information can be time consuming and error prone. To solve this, our 835 auto-posting program reads payment data from the 835 file returned from the insurance company and posts payments applied to individual charges and records reason codes in the Altapoint system.
